Below is my personal reply to the FL consultation. Make sure you have your say too! The document is available here.

This is the last week to have your say in shaping the future foreign language policy in Ireland. The document is quite wordy but a reply is essential to be included in the future of our career. Even if you do not answer all the questions, please take the time to fill in what you have ideas about. You can download the document here. Below are my answers in a word document. Please feel free to leave me a message that you agree, not agree, want clarification... Hopefully it will encourage people to put pen to paper or type an answer. The deadline is at the end of this week (Oct 31st, 2014). We are back Tuesday for our twice monthly chat about teaching and learning foreign languages. I can't actually host it this Tuesday but my friend Karen Keane (@Karenakeane and @LangTeachersIreland) will host the session for me. The topics are very interesting: teaching a language in TY and Special needs in the MFL classroom. So tune in Tuesday 8.30pm on Twitter!
